Two machine families — the EP-ZQ European-style IBM series and the EP-HGY one-step ISBM series — cover pharmaceutical vials, cosmetic flacons, baby bottles, daily-chemical containers, wide-mouth jars, water barrels, and industrial packaging.
Why a Solution-First Approach
Selecting the wrong blow molding technology — or the wrong model within the right technology family — is the most expensive mistake a packaging procurement team can make. A machine that is under-specified cannot meet your output targets. A machine that is over-specified ties up capital in capability you will never use. And a machine that is technically mismatched to your resin, bottle geometry, or neck finish specification creates quality problems that compound with every production run.
Ever Power manufactures both injection blow molding (IBM) and one-step injection stretch blow molding (ISBM) machines in our own 20,000 m² factory. Our engineering team's understanding of both processes means we will always recommend the technology that actually fits your application — including recommending the alternative if your initial specification points to the wrong process. Explore our complete machine catalogue or submit your bottle specification to our team for a free, no-obligation assessment.

Oral liquid vials, tablet and capsule bottles, eye-drop containers, nasal-spray bottles and infusion packaging in HDPE, PP, PET and PETG. Both the EP-ZQ IBM and EP-HGY ISBM series operate with zero human hand contact throughout the production cycle, directly supporting GMP manufacturing practice requirements. Neck finish is formed to closure-compatibility tolerance in the injection mould — no secondary trimming or machining required.
High-clarity serum flacons, lotion dispensers, perfume bottles and complex-profile cosmetic containers in PET, PETG, Tritan and PCTG. The one-step ISBM process produces bottles with optical clarity approaching glass. Neck-diameter tolerance is held to ±0.05–0.10 mm. The full-servo EP-HGY150-V4-EV is specified by premium brands requiring GMP documentation and PLC-based parameter traceability.
Shampoo, body-wash, fabric conditioner, hand-wash and household cleaning product containers from 100 ml to 2,000 ml in HDPE, PP and PET at high cavity counts. The EP-ZQ IBM series reaches up to 30 cavities at 10 ml — the standard platform for FMCG daily-chemical mass production. For PET containers requiring clarity or higher barrier performance, the EP-HGY ISBM series provides superior output per machine.
BPA-free baby bottles and infant feeding accessories in PC, Tritan and PP requiring exceptional optical clarity, autoclave sterilisation compatibility, and fully automated zero-contact production. The one-step ISBM process provides GMP-level contamination exclusion. Neck dimension consistency is critical for teat-to-bottle sealing — ISBM delivers this within ±0.05 mm across all cavity positions.
Mineral water bottles, juice containers, condiment jars, cooking oil bottles and wide-mouth food canisters in PET from 100 ml to 2,500 ml. The biaxial molecular orientation of the ISBM process delivers significantly superior gas barrier performance and compression strength compared to extrusion blow moulded containers of equivalent wall thickness — extending shelf life and enabling lighter-weight containers.
Cosmetic cream jars, protein powder containers, vitamin and mineral supplement bottles and food condiment wide-mouth jars requiring neck diameters exceeding 60 mm. The EP-HGY200-V4-B with AOKI-250 mould compatibility and 600 mm upper mould stroke is the dedicated solution for tall wide-mouth profiles. The EP-HGY250-V4 with ASB-70DPH compatibility handles the largest-diameter formats up to 200 mm body diameter.
Asymmetric bottles, art-glass-effect containers, gift packaging bottles, multi-faceted cosmetic containers and novelty craft containers. The one-step ISBM process is uniquely capable of reproducing complex non-round and asymmetric bottle profiles that two-step reheat stretch blow machines cannot achieve consistently — because the preform never leaves the machine between injection and blow, eliminating thermal distortion.
5 L, 10 L, 18.9 L (5-gallon) and 20 L drinking water barrels and large-format industrial containers in PET and PETG. The EP-HGY650-V4 is the only machine in the EP-HGY range engineered specifically for this application — with 400 KN dual clamping force, a 1,070 mm upper mould stroke, and a maximum single-bottle weight of 900 g. ISBM-produced water barrels deliver substantially superior optical clarity, wall-thickness uniformity, and oxygen barrier performance versus EBM equivalents.
What We Produce
The EP-ZQ IBM and EP-HGY ISBM machine families together cover every hollow plastic container type from 1 ml laboratory vials to 20 L industrial barrels.
How It Works
The right process choice is the foundation of every successful packaging machine investment. The four sections below explain both processes and provide the technical comparison and selection criteria needed for procurement and engineering team decision-making.
The one-step ISBM process consolidates three historically separate operations — injection molding, thermal conditioning, and stretch blow molding — into a single continuous automated cycle without any secondary reheating step. This eliminates up to 40% of energy consumption versus two-step RSBM and provides superior biaxial molecular orientation for barrier and strength properties.

Injection blow molding is a closed-loop 3-station rotary process without a stretch step. HDPE, PP or PS resin is injection-molded around a core pin at Station 1, forming the preform and the finished bottle neck finish simultaneously to closure-compatibility tolerance. The EP-ZQ European-style IBM machines operate at 20–30% higher clamping force than Chinese-market alternatives at each tonnage tier.
Injection → Blow → Stripping operates simultaneously every cycle. All three stations fire in parallel — maximum output efficiency, minimum idle time. No separate conditioning station needed.
Because IBM injects directly onto the core rod, there is no parison and no flash generated at any stage. 20–40% material savings versus EBM. No flash trimming equipment, no trim scrap management required.
IBM excels with resins that cannot be stretch-blown effectively. HDPE, LDPE, PP, PS, PCTG and EVA are the standard IBM resin families — covering pharmaceutical, daily-chemical, food and specialty applications.
The EP-ZQ135 flagship delivers up to 30 cavities at 10 ml per cycle. Independent hydraulic double system from EP-ZQ80 upward eliminates inter-cavity weight variation. Weight consistency typically within ±1% across all cavities.
Ten key performance dimensions across the three primary blow molding processes. Both IBM and ISBM are Ever Power product lines — EBM is included for reference as the process most commonly displaced when customers switch to injection-based technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions procurement managers and engineers ask most frequently when evaluating blow molding technology options. For questions specific to your bottle design or production target, contact our engineering team directly.
Switching from EBM to IBM or ISBM typically delivers: elimination of flash scrap (20–40% material saving per cycle), elimination of flash trimming labour and equipment, improvement in bottle weight variation from approx. 3% to approx. 1%, improvement in neck-finish consistency, and reduction in per-bottle energy consumption. For PET containers, ISBM also adds biaxial molecular orientation — delivering superior oxygen barrier, compression strength and optical clarity that EBM cannot achieve in PET at equivalent wall thickness.
Yes. The EP-HGY150-V4 and EP-HGY150-V4-EV are engineered for direct mechanical compatibility with the Japanese ASB-12M mould format. The injection station platen dimensions, tie-bar spacing and blow station geometry match ASB-12M standard specifications — enabling direct mould installation without adaptation fixtures. We recommend sharing your specific mould drawings with our engineering team before finalising the purchase order.
There is no universal minimum — the commercially viable cavity count depends entirely on your target output per hour, your bottle size, and your cycle time. A 1-cavity EP-HGY650-V4 running 18.9 L water barrels at a 50-second cycle time is fully commercially competitive for a water barrel production operation. Contact us to provide your production plan and we will confirm whether the proposed cavity count is correct.
Yes. Both IBM and ISBM machines are designed for mould changeover between different bottle SKUs. The machine parameters are stored as recipes in the PLC and recalled at the start of each production run. Physical mould changeover time is typically 1–4 hours depending on machine size and operator experience. The constraint is that the new mould must be within the machine's physical stroke and platen dimensions.
GMP compliance for a blow moulding machine specifically means: (1) zero human hand contact with the bottle at any stage; (2) documented and traceable process parameters for every production batch; (3) consistent, verifiable dimensional output across all cavities in the mould; and (4) validated machine qualification documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ basis). The EP-HGY full-servo EV series and EP-ZQ IBM series satisfy all four requirements.
All Ever Power IBM and ISBM machines require: (1) Power supply — 370–400V / 3-phase / 50 Hz, connected load varies by model from approx. 20 KW (EP-ZQ40) to 112.8 KW (EP-HGY150-V4-EV); (2) High-pressure compressed air — 2.0–3.5 MPa for ISBM blow air and 0.5–0.7 MPa for IBM and pneumatic ancillaries; (3) Cooling water — inlet pressure 0.4–0.6 MPa, temperature below 25 degrees C; (4) Floor loading capacity — minimum 2 T/m² beneath the machine footprint, up to 5 T/m² for the EP-HGY650-V4. Detailed utility specification sheets and installation drawings are provided upon order confirmation.
