It is the most widely applied semi-automatic machine in the HGS line-up, covering bottle formats across cosmetic and daily chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water and beverage, and chemical and pesticide categories from a single installation.

Compared to the entry-level HGS150A, the HGS-200A adds 0.25 litres of container volume capacity, a larger pillar space (380×210mm vs 380×220mm), and a longer stretching stroke (350mm vs 320mm) — enabling a wider range of bottle geometries at the standard 1.25-litre format used across most semi-automatic packaging applications. The machine footprint increases modestly to 1,550×560×1,530mm at 480kg.

At 1.25 litres and 120–200mm mold size, the HGS-200A covers the standard bottle format used across the broadest range of industries in semi-automatic packaging — cosmetic and daily chemical dispensers, pharmaceutical liquids, food and condiment bottles, water bottles, and chemical containers. General Purpose — Not Hot-Fill

The HGS-200A is a general-purpose semi-automatic machine and is NOT rated for hot-filling applications. Products filled at temperatures above approximately 60°C — including tea beverages, hot-fill juices, and products on pasteurisation filling lines — require a hot-fill rated bottle produced on the HGS200B. Using a standard HGS-200A bottle on a hot-fill line will result in bottle deformation at the filling stage.

350mm Stretching Stroke

The HGS-200A’s 350mm stretching stroke (vs the HGS150A’s 320mm) enables production of taller bottle profiles at 1.25 litres — a key parameter for bottles with high height-to-diameter ratios, such as tall cosmetic dispensers or slender shampoo bottle formats. The additional stroke range expands the range of bottle geometries the machine can produce at the 1.25-litre volume ceiling.

Preform Heater Required — Separate Purchase

Like all HGS semi-automatic machines, the HGS-200A requires a separate preform heater (HGJ series) to heat preforms before manual loading into the blow station. The HGJ-B heater is for wide-mouth jar applications (neck up to 130mm); the HGJ-CL heater is for standard narrow-neck bottles (neck up to 68mm). Heater Capacity Must Match or Exceed Machine Output

The preform heater must be able to heat preforms at a rate equal to or greater than the blow machine’s output rate — otherwise the heater becomes the production bottleneck. HGS-200A vs HGS150A — Step-Up Decision

The HGS-200A is the step up from the HGS150A when container volume exceeds 1 litre, a longer stretching stroke is required for taller bottle profiles, or a slightly larger mold size range is needed.
